About Us

Resting in the ever growing hospitality precinct of Penrith’s CBD, Chechos is quickly becoming a staple for Western Sydney foodies. Since opening its doors in October 2020 by the Cinco Hombres Hospitality Group, Chechos has aimed to deliver a contemporary Mexican dining experience that Penrith was crying out for.

We pride ourselves on our impressive offering, which goes hand in hand with our impeccable service that will provide our patrons with the ultimate dining experience. Chechos aims to broaden the taste buds of the West and show that Mexican cuisine can be so much more than merely tacos and nachos. Chechos will negate the need to trek into the City to be wined and dined. 

Chechos has been built on bringing a diversely skilled team together to create a very unique dining experience. Hospitality is king and making patrons feel great about being in our venue is our overarching goal – that is the Chechos ideology.

Head Chef

You won’t miss our Head Chef when you dine at Chechos or at the beach where he spends his days off (maybe because he jives to Frank Ocean). Sal loves to bring the wow-factor with his dishes and with our delicious menu. As you can see, Sal loves his knives… maybe a little bit too much.

Nick Silveira

Sous Chef

This Sous Chef is a fun and animated cook in the Chechos kitchen. Nick loves to see how much happiness and joy the team can bring to others through food. On days off, Nick channels his inner Bear Grylls (without drinking his own urine) and goes off the grid with his partner, exploring the great outdoors.

Introducing Penrith’s most eligible bachelor (so he tells us), the Cocktail Wiz never makes a bad drink behind the Chechos bar! Rocco loves working with the diverse group of food-loving people here at Chechos. When “Just the Two of Us” is playing in the restaurant, you’re bound to find Rocco singing and grooving behind the bar!
